Requirements & Details:

• Participants must hold CURRENT Australian Heavy Rigid drivers licence
• Participants must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment, and be proficient in English
• Photo ID, and wear appropriate clothing and closed in shoes
• A short literacy and numeracy test will be required
• Assessment type: Theory and Practical
• After a successful competency assessment, you will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Queensland Transport and Logistics Training Pty Ltd (QTLT) NVR RTO 40931.

Course Outline:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a heavy rigid vehicle in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles. They generally work under minimal supervision to undertake a broad range of skilled applications in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.
