Tyre Servicing Courses:

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of tasks on Tyres in the Automotive - Heavy Vehicle - Earth Moving service and repair industry.

Complete a single unit, a group of units or the whole 14 unit qualification by selecting units from the offered units of competency.

The courses are a mixture of online | classroom | practical training.

Government Requirements:

Meet the training and competency requirements of mining regulators across Australia.

In QLD, Resources Safety and Health Queensland calls for competency based training of tyre service activities, whether delivered on site or off site, for all quarry and mining operations.

Course Code: AUR21920 - Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology

Requirements & Details:

• Participants must be a minimum of 15 years of age to start the course, and be proficient in English
• Photo ID, and wear appropriate clothing and closed in shoes
• Self-paced theory training and assessment
• Face to face practical training and assessment
• Students have a maximum of 12 months to complete the program, as a guide most students complete the course within 2 months.
• Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by QTAD, RTO #32238.

• AURAEA002 - Follow environmental and sustainability best practice in an automotive workplace 
• AURASA102 - Follow safe working practices in an automotive workplace 
• AURATA001 - Identify basic automotive faults using troubleshooting processes 
• AURTTK102 - Use and maintain tools and equipment in an automotive workplace 

Group A (Light Vehicle Tyres): 

• AURLTJ102 - Remove, inspect, repair and refit light vehicle tyres and tubes 
• AURLTJ113 - Remove, inspect and refit light vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies 

Group B (Heavy Vehicle Tyres): 

• AURHTJ103 - Remove, inspect and refit heavy vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies 
• AURHTJ106 - Remove, inspect, repair and refit heavy vehicle tyres and tubes 

Group C (Agricultural Tyres): 

• AURHTJ103 - Remove, inspect and refit heavy vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies 
• AURHTJ104 - Remove, inspect, repair and refit agricultural equipment and tyres 

Group D (Earthmoving and OTR Tyres): 

• AURKTJ011 - Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road tyres 
• AURKTJ012 - Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies 
• AURKTJ015 - Select earthmoving and off-the-road tyres, wheels and rim assemblies for specific applications 
• AURKTJ016 - Use earthmoving and off-the-road tyre handlers 

General Elective Units:

• RIISS00034 Surface Coal Mine Safety Skill Set issued by QTLT, NVR RTO# 40931
