Spent a week training to update old RII Earth Moving Plant Heavy Equipment for both civil and mines standards, and also to be certified in some machines that i had years of civil experience in but no tickets for them.
What a great experience, its a very professional & busy place that i highly recommend.

I can’t recommend CTT enough!
After a bit of a slow start from constant rescheduling due to never ending rain I eventually completed my first of six tickets.
I completed articulated haul truck, rigid haul truck, front end wheel loader, bulk water cart, water truck, roller, track dozer.
I work a 2:2 roster. CTT offers the flexibility to book tickets for when I’m home, at my own pace, it is a life saver!
The trainers are brilliant, knowledgeable, patient and relaxed. It’s a stress free environment that very closely simulates the work you’ll experience on site.
I did articulated haul truck ticket first and thought it was brilliant that the students getting their front end wheel loader tickets where the ones loading our trucks! The next day I did the loader and then I was the one loading the trucks.
Getting to see both sides of the machines, getting to feel what it’s like to load the trucks and be loaded gives you a great insight into how to do it better.
I’ve done training on the job in the mines through other companies and it doesn’t compare to CTT. The amount of time I got to spend in the seat operating the machine to truely get a feel and understanding of how the machine operate. Being able to take my time to understand the controls and get to use the machine in a capacity, like I was at work doing a job on site, gives me the confidence to take those skills to a job site and actually use them.
All in all I had a great time, enjoyed every ticket and will definitely be going back.

I booked and went to my front end loader course at the civil trans,. Luke is probably one of the greatest if not best facilitator I have encountered, with two teams of dump trucks and front end loader he synchronised the training and once I ran through my practices and thoroughly showed key elements with this particular plant machine, but also fed me information on the other plant machines I'm eager to come back promptly and get them done now.
