Standpipe Training

Course Overview - Metered Standpipe:

  • Duration - 2 hours
  • Time - 7.00am - 9.00am
  • Course Fees - $250
  • On Site Group Bookings - please call for a quote or booking 07 3348 2104
  • Students will also complete Unitywater "The 5C's Water Hygiene Training" and receive Wallet Card on the day.

Course Outline:

This course provides operators with the knowledge and practical skills to install and operate metered standpipes.  

  • Workplace requirements
  • Basic Components
  • Operation of a standpipe and hydrant
  • Care for water distribution systems
  • Back flow prevention
  • Reading a meter
  • Using a metered standpipe logbook
  • General conditions of use
  • The 5C's Water Hygiene Induction Training 

Requirements & Details:

  • Participants must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment, and be proficient in English
  • Photo ID, and wear appropriate clothing and closed in shoes
  • Students will also complete Unitywater "The 5C's Water Hygiene Training" induction training
  • Please note that this course is non-accredited, you will not be issued a Statement of Attainment upon completion of the course. You will be issued a plastic industry wallet card.

  • Written and verbal assessment 
  • Practical demonstration
