Nationally Recognised Units of Competency:

• UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
• This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.
• HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • This unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. 

Low Voltage Rescue Course Pre-Requisites:

• UEECD0007 - Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace OR
• UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker

Requirements & Details

• Participants must be a minimum of 14 years of age to sit the assessment, and be proficient in reading and writing English
• Photo ID, wear appropriate clothing and closed in shoes
• A short literacy and numeracy test will be required
• Assessment type: Theory and Practical
• On successfully completion of being deemed competent you will receive a statement of attainment issued by QTLT RTO #40931
• HLTAID009 - Valid 1 year
• UETDRMP007 - Valid 1 year 

Course Outline

• Course includes both practical and theory elements
• Face-to-Face theory & practical training.
• Students will be required to demonstrate CPR on a manikin on the floor.
• Students will perform practical first aid and rescue activities.
